Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Diagnose issues with air brake systems, hydraulics, shocks, struts, and other components.
• Utilize schematics to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles
• Collaborate with service technicians to address complex mechanical issues.
• Assist in the training of junior mechanics as needed.
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in vehicle maintenance. This includes experience with air brake systems, hydraulics, shocks, struts, and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems, particularly Caterpillar engines.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
