This 1986 Tandy 1000EX is working with all of it's original hardware - but with some modern add-ons for modern-day ease of use.
This computer comes with an expansion card for vintage PCs which allows the computer's hard drive to run from a modern day Compact Flash / CF card (card included). The CF card has already been formatted with DOS 6.22 operating system and the computer boots straight from the CF card into DOS. While the original 5.25" floppy disk drive does work, this allows you transfer files from your modern computer to the CF card.
While the Tandy 1000 EX does have composite video output, using it looks terrible. This set-up includes a modern CGA/RGB adapter to VGA adapter -- with a VGA monitor that is 15 kHZ compatible. A 15kHz LCD monitor is a rare and specialized display designed to directly accept low-frequency analog RGB signals from vintage arcade and computer hardware.

- Necroware MCE adapter (this is a CGA to VGA adapter)
- Dell E1713Sb 17" LCD Computer Monitor (rare LCD monitor that runs at 15 kHZ, allowing the CGA to VGA adapter to work)
