I am writing to express my interest in a Maintenance Elevator Mechanic position. I bring over 30 years of hands-on experience in the troubleshooting, inspection, and preventive maintenance of a wide range of vertical transportation systems.
Most recently, I was employed with Kencor Elevator Co. (now AEG) for nine years, where I performed maintenance and repairs on passenger and freight elevators, control systems, wheelchair lifts, private residential elevators, escalators, and rack-and-pinion hoist lifts. My technical expertise includes solid-state and electromechanical devices (relay logic), electric motors, M/G sets with controls, and electrical power and lighting systems. I am highly skilled in reading and interpreting ladder diagrams and schematic drawings and am known for my strong troubleshooting abilities.
In addition to my field experience, I have two years of service as a New Jersey State Licensed Elevator Inspector for the building department, as well as two years of experience as an Elevator Mechanic Supervisor. I consistently work in full compliance with ASME standards, National Electrical Code (NEC), fire codes, and all applicable regulations and procedures.
