The item being offered for sale is not just a Motor Trend Magazine article. Rather than that it is an Official Datsun Promotional Brochure, in which Datsun not only incorporates materials from the March 1979 Issue of Motor Trend, but Datsun combines that with various colorful photos of its own. The Motor Trend article by itself compares the following vehicles to the 300ZX; Porsche 928, BMW 733i sedan, Plymouth Champ, Mercedes-Benz 300SD, Mazda RX-7 and Saab 900 Turbo.
