Construction Operations Technician - Deliveries/Warehouse/Jobsites
Location: Based in Fairfield, NJ
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and hardworking construction field & operations technician to support our construction operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in helping projects run smoothly.
The ideal candidate will assist with material deliveries, permit and document handling, warehouse organization, running projects on-site, and general field operations. This is based in NJ, but there would also be travel to other states involved at times.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to active jobsites
- Pick up and return construction materials from suppliers
- Handle permit submissions and document deliveries to municipal offices and building departments
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse and storage areas
- Assist project managers and field supervisors with day-to-day project needs
- Visit jobsites to monitor progress and support field operations
- Coordinate deliveries and logistics between vendors, warehouse, and projects
- Perform inventory checks and organize materials
- Assist with punch list items and project closeout activities
- Operate company vehicles safely and professionally
- Complete various tasks as needed to support construction operations
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Construction experience preferred
- Familiarity with construction materials and jobsite operations
- Basic computer and smartphone skills
