Collaborative Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ), a peer led not-for-profit organization, has part-time Wellness Mentor opening based out of Hackensack, NJ. Position is 20 hours per week including weekends. Wellness Mentor acts as a leader and role model for members, visitors and community members of the Wellness Center. Under the direct supervision of the Wellness Center Manager, the Wellness Mentor has an understanding of the Wellness center mission and operations as well as basic principles of wellness/recovery and peer support. This position works directly with the Wellness center manager and in collaboration with members to plan and implement Wellness center operations.
Qualifications: High School Diploma –OR- equivalent. Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written, knowledge of wellness, the mental health system and community resources in the region. Ability to make and maintain contacts and positive relationships with individuals with a psychiatric disability and those who provide services to them. Basic computer skills and ability to learn skills is required. Valid drivers’ license and acceptable driving is a plus.
