This Takamine C132S classical guitar was made in 1984 and is in astoundingly good condition considering its age. The Takamine C132S is a highly regarded, Japanese-made classical guitar from the Pro Series, known for its traditional design, solid cedar top, and solid rosewood back, providing a warm, resonant tone. It features a mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and a gloss finish, making it a popular choice for serious students and performers.
The previous owner of this guitar had it set up with very low action, and a sliver of red oak has subsequently been inserted under the saddle to increase string height to ~3.9mm for the low E. This allows the player to lean in without string buzz, but the insert can easily be removed if preferred, to accommodate a quieter playing style. There are a few small blemishes on the guitar top (see photos) but very little sign of wear for its age.
Willing to meet at any Starbucks in N NJ if you would like to try playing this beautiful guitar before purchasing. No pressure...if you don't love this C132S then I'd rather sell it to someone else. It has been very well maintained for 42 years and I want to pass it along to someone who will take care of it and appreciate it. Thank you.
