Beautifully Designed Medium-scale Electric Bass

Description from Spector:

"When you're in the market for a lighter, smaller 5-string electric bass that doesn't compromise on booming tone, the Spector Euro Bantam 5 is a standout choice. This 32-inch medium-scale bass begins with a gorgeous chambered European alder body with a North American figured maple top finished in gloss to form a stunning, stage-ready bass. The Bantam 5's sturdy and snappy 3-piece maple neck and silky-smooth rosewood fingerboard offer exceptional playability and response, with a pair of EMG dual-coil humbuckers to deliver a wide array of classic humbucking bass tone — ideal for heavier styles of music but also well suited for softer genres. Best of all, an EMG BTC active EQ circuit provides exceptional tonal versatility when used in conjunction with your amp and pedals of choice".

Backstory: I purchased this bass after having a minor stroke thinking that the shorter scale, 32" fingerboard, would help me in recovery. I healed completely and found the shorter bass was "too easy-too small" for me to play. So, deciding to sell this great instrument and use the $ to pay off some of the medical bills.

PRICING: The Bantam bass currently retails for $2449.00 at any major music instrument retailer. I've seen them used in the 1900-2200 range. So, concluded that $1550 FIRM is a very fair price for an instrument of this caliber.

Play-ability: I do my own setups and tweaked this bass so that it's super low, effortless with impeccable intonation everywhere on the fingerboard. Pretty much "plays itself"

It's a great instrument for a guitarist who doubles on bass as there is very little adjustment or period of getting used to it. Your transition would be seamless. Or, for a player of smaller stature or if you want to just relax and play a light, ultra low action instrument.

$1550 CASH. PICKUP ONLY. I have amps and you can take your time and give it a thorough checkout. Inspect every aspect of this instrument. I'm in no hurry and will gladly put on some fresh coffee.

Low ballers and scammers will be ignored. If you see this listing, it's still available so no need to ask.

PRICE IS FIRM as you will not find a 5 string Bantam in black cherry anywhere at this price. Don't take my word for it, shop around and you will see that's a fact.
