I bought this bike several years ago, rode it for a while and parked it due to declining health. I am an owner/operator of a motorcycle shop so it's been maintained to the highest standard. I found the brakes were not that good so I replaced the rotors with later model units and steel braided brake lines, they work much better now. The bike runs perfectly and all the controls and lights etc. work as they should. I cleaned it up but some of the parts like the final drive don't look as good as they did originally. For the most part, the bike looks excellent. In 1986 Yamaha made changes like moving the footpegs forward making the bike less comfortable to ride and making it much more difficult to change the oil filter. It's comfortable to ride and has awesome 1000cc v twin power. It has a new battery and comes with the owners manual.
