HEAVY-DUTY Stainless-Steel Chimney Rain Cap / Spark Arrestor
This was CUSTOM MADE by a local fabrication shop to fit a 100+ year old chimney that had an oddball size 7" Internal Flue.
Forever Cap which is considered the best in the industry uses 24 Gauge for the Hood and 22 Gauge for the Base. This is 2 to 3 TIMES THICKER STAINLESS STEEL than Forever Cap!
18 Gauge Top Hood measures 16-3/4" x 16-3/4" and will stand 12" from the top of the Flue Tile. It was designed to have a little adjustability so there is a lower set of holes if you want to lower the top 1", but if you wanted to raise the Top by up to 2" you can drill holes in the Flanges.
14 Gauge Base is 9" x 9" with FOUR Flanges; each is 6" long x 5" wide
12 Gauge Arms are 1-1/2" wide x 6" long.
Weighs a WHOPPING 11 POUNDS! Forever Cap weighs 5 pounds for an 8" x 8"

MY LOSS is YOUR GAIN! I paid OVER $250 for this to be fabricated in order to pass inspection until I replaced the furnace with a through-the-wall vent unit and was able to remove the chimney.
