Compensation: Please provide a labor-only quote (materials supplied)
Description:
I am looking for an experienced pool tile professional to replace the waterline tile on a 20' x 40' concrete pool.
CRITICAL JOB CONSTRAINT:
The pool is currently half full of water and must stay that way due to hydrostatic pressure concerns (we cannot risk popping the pool out).
The pool depth ranges from 5 ft to 9 ft.
In the shallow areas, the waterline is exposed.
In the deep areas, the work will need to be performed from the deck or by using a ladder within the water.
Scope of Work 1: Waterline Tile (Required)
Dimensions: ~120 linear feet of 9-inch high waterline tile.
Prep: Remove the old tile and completely grind/remove the old thinset.
Repair: Repair any structural waterline cracks using a proper sealer (must be fitted for a saltwater/chlorine environment).
Install: Set the new tile.
Scope of Work 2: Coping Stones & Concrete Lip (Optional, but preferred)
About 30% of the existing coping stones are hollow/loose and need to be removed.
Refill and seal any cracks in the lip of the concrete pool shell to prevent future issues.
Bonus: Let me know if you also have paving stone and general pool deck experience.
Materials Supplied by Owner:
I already have the materials on-site. I will provide:
The tiles
The crack sealer
The thinset
The caulking/corking material
(You will need to provide all necessary tools, demo equipment, and labor).
Requirements:
You must have specific swimming pool experience. If your background is only in standard bathroom or kitchen tile, this job is not for you. Pool tile requires specific prep and an understanding of unforgiving aquatic environments, and I am looking for someone who knows exactly how to handle it.
See photos focus on skimmers and rounded corners.
I started the demo but didn't have time.
How to Apply:
When replying, please include:
A brief summary of your pool tile experience (photos of past pool work are highly encouraged).
Your labor price for JUST the pool tile scope.
Your labor price for the pool tile PLUS the coping stone scope.
Please leave your name and phone number, and I will reach out to discuss the project further.
