Job Title: Superintendent – Jersey City, NJ
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Building Superintendent to oversee two residential properties located at 35 & 50, totaling 85 units with 2 elevators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the buildings, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and fully functional.
Responsibilities:
• General upkeep and cleanliness of the properties
• Trash removal and common-area maintenance
• Performing minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks
• Coordinating and supervising contractors and vendors
• Communicating with tenants and addressing concerns
• Providing access for vendors and responding to emergency situations
• Preparing and handling unit turnovers
• Ensuring compliance with building safety and operational standards
Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a superintendent, maintenance supervisor, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Availability for emergency calls as needed
