We are looking for a reliable and experienced Handyman / Porter person to help maintain our property.
This role includes general cleaning, basic repairs, ongoing maintenance, and snow salting during snowstorms.
Responsibilities include:
• Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, stairways, elevators, lobbies, laundry rooms, and building entrances.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors, surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
• Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as scrubbing floors, baseboards, walls, and hard-to-reach areas.
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and recycling from common areas.
• Take out garbage and ensure waste is handled in accordance with building and local regulations.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly used, stored, and maintained.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to management promptly.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Basic handyman work (minor repairs, touch-ups, maintenance)
• Reporting maintenance issues when identified
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial, or building maintenance roles preferred.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
Requirements:
Prior experience in cleaning, handyman, or maintenance work
Ability to work independently and responsibly
Reliable transportation preferred
Availability during snowstorms for salting
Physically able to perform maintenance tasks
Dependable and punctual
Schedule:
Availability on weekdays and weekends.
