Nancy Ortenstone is an acclaimed American contemporary abstract expressionist painter whose work focuses on the emotional relationship between color, light, and music. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Arts from the University of Mexico through the prestigious Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende. She also polished her style in a master class under famed figurative expressionist Nathan Oliveira at the Santa Fe Institute of Fine Arts.
For decades, her works have been a staple of the Southwest contemporary art scene, frequently exhibited in solo and group shows across major galleries in Taos, Santa Fe, Scottsdale, and Houston.
