Thomas Jefferson -Written and Illustrated by Hendrik Willem Van Loon, Published New York Dodd, Mead & Company, 1943. This book was "Presented by - on indefinite loan from the United States Information Library in 1947 to The American Library in Paris". See pictures for official stamps, etc. It appears that this booked made its way back to the USA sometime around 1984 - see picture from what appears to be a William Gorning in New York and someone else owned the book. I have been unable to gather further information on these people. Maybe you might have better luck!
