I think it is plywood construction with a special crackle coating.

• Overall inside length 27 3/8” and 14 ½”wide.
• Width of large compartment 10 ¼” wide and the small compartment 33/4” wide.
• Inside depth 113/4 “
• Lid has a 2” depth. However it has foam padding attached.
• Has two front latches
• Has a strap handle on top.
• A wide handles on each side
• Has padding all around, top and bottom.
• Remove the divider to make it a full 143/4” wide inside.
