My Mini Skid is designed to be as gentle as possible on expensive turf and walkways. (it's tracks are designed to deliver low pressure per sq. inch) My SK1050 Ditch Witch or R300 Zahn Loader will fit through all standard yard gates. (42 inches wide)
Log Splitting I offer a man and machine log splitting service. I will use my fully automated 35 Ton Reverse Splitter Attachment that quick connects to my Ditch Witch Mini Skid Steer. I use 2 powerful log splitting attachments with either a 1 way or 4 way blade. I can split most rounds down to 1/4's or 1/16 (i.e common fireplace sizes)......the blade that I use will depends on the rounds initial diameter.
The advantage of using my 35 Ton Splitting Attachment using a 4 way blade is that it's SUPER efficient. I don't have to stop splitting to manually pick up any logs by hand and I never have to top load the splitter. My unique attachment grabs them right off the ground, splits them and then drop them in one continuous action. It can quickly create a large split log pile wherever I choose to drop them.
MY SPLITTING PRICE is $125 PER HOUR.
I split rounds @ $125.00 per hr. with a min job duration of 2 hrs. (If the job is located further away than 5 miles from Morristown a calculated gas/travel fee will be applicable. This gas/travel fee is provided by my online booking process) (amount depends on distance) This fee offsets longer trips that I must make towing very heavy equipment.
ROUND RELOCATION is $125 PER HOUR
Machine Round Pile Relocation - using my mini skid bucket or fork attachment is $125 per hr.
KINDLING SPLITTING USING MY 3 TON ELECTRIC is $125 PER HOUR
For smaller round piles or "kindling type splits" (meaning: round diameters that under 10 inches) I will likely use my hand load 3 ton electric splitter - lining up these smaller rounds is actually faster with the small splitter.
VERY IMPORTANT REGARDING ROUND SIZE
(((((( ALL ROUND LENGTHS MUST BE SHORTER THAN 25 INCHES TO FIT IN MY 35 TON SPLITTER )))))) and kindling must be 20 INCHES OR SHORTER FOR MY 3 TON SPLITTER
(((( ALL ROUND DIAMETERS MUST BE BETWEEN 10" and 24" inches (these are my targeted round diameters if they are larger rounds please go ahead and look elsewhere they will damage my equipment )))))
NOTE: I AVOID HUGE ROUNDS - MEANING - I AVOID JOBS WITH AVERAGE ROUND DIAMETERS 35" up to 60" INCHES DIAMETER! (Rounds like this can be too wide, too heavy and too thick! Oversized round diameters can damage my machines hydraulics and splitter blades). Huge rounds like this (over 24" ) require huge splitting equipment with hydraulic force beyond 35 tons.
Please be sure to chainsaw cut all rounds to under 25 inches length prior to my arrival to fit in my splitter or they will just be set aside.
Excessively rotted rounds will be passed over if the splitting becomes too crushing and crumbly. So pre- examine your wood. See if it’s worth investing in. Please don't figure this out when I arrive.
Invest in tarps and log racks your wood will be wasted if its left to rot.

I will need the average round diameter. (please include the number of wider exceptions if exceeding 33" in diameter) (this tells me what blade to use)

Please indicate if your rounds are located down a large steep hill or on top of an area that may be difficult to get to with a machine. Are they all easily accessible?
Please know that the grass around the splitting area will likely be torn up. in a 10 ft circle. So if possible relocate to harder surface (gravel, asphalt, dirt) If dirt not on muddy day!
The final hourly cost will be determined by how many splits that I'm asked to make.
This depends on how small you need the logs and how big they are to begin with.
I work on an hourly basis and I will text you my start and stop times if your not home.
If I'm working on grass or dirt please be aware that grass or dirt in the immediate work area will be likely torn up by my zero turning track treads. Pavement or gravel is always preferred. If the grass is wet than mud situations can occur so please try to pick a dry day. I don’t work outside in temperatures that fall under 33 degrees. So please try to pick a day that is not insanely freezing. I don’t split in rain or in snow.
ATOM SPLITTER SERVICE:
NOTE: See the attached pictures of my Corkscrew/Atom Splitter attached to my High Torque Auger. This special spiral tool is used to crack large rounds or Even Partial Cut Trees. 24" to 50"
Even cracks pieces up 4 ft long . However Know that The Atom Cone Splitter is not designed to be a fast efficient means of log splitting. It can take time to process rounds. (more then a hydraulic press splitter)
(use of this unique corkscrew attachment will cost - $150 per hr).
It can be effective if you don’t have any another way to lower the weight of a huge tree piece but it costs more to do this method because its slower and can tricky. Rounds can spin and the spiral can get stuck. It turns slow.
