The song "Go For It" was originally released in the UK - as "The Second Time" in (1984), but ... in North America, it was re-named "Go for It". The track was Wilde's first release by MCA Records. Her last few releases on her original label had failed to make an impact commercially, but this one returned her to the charts of several European countries, peaking at (#29) on the UK Singles Chart. It also marked her second chart entry on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at (#65).
Kim Wilde (born Kim Smith, November 18, 1960) is an English pop singer. She first gained success in (1981) with her debut single "Kids in America", which peaked at (#2) in the UK. In (1983), she received the Brit Award for Best British Female solo artist. In (1986), she had a UK (#2) hit with a reworked version of the Supremes' song "You Keep Me Hangin' On", which also topped the US Billboard Hot 100 in (1987). Between (1981-1996), she had (25) singles that charted within the Top 50 of the UK Singles Chart. She holds the record for being the most-charted British female solo act of the (1980s), with (17) UK Top 40 hit singles.
