Belinda Carlisle (born August 17, 1958) is an American singer & songwriter. She gained fame as the lead vocalist of the Go-Go's, one of the most successful all-female rock bands of all time, and went on to have a prolific career as a solo artist after the Go-Go's broke up, in (1985) ... "Mad About You" is a song by American singer Belinda Carlisle. It was written by Paula Jean Brown, James Whelan and Mitchel Young Evans, and produced by Michael Lloyd for Carlisle's debut solo album, "Belinda". The song was released in (1986) as Carlisle's debut solo single after leaving the Go-Go's. The song peaked at (#3) on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and at (#1) on Canada's RPM 100 Singles chart. The song was later included in the jukebox musical "Head over Heels" that used the Go-Go's music in addition to two of Carlisle's solo tracks. The musical debuted on Broadway, in (2018).
