This is all done on one piece of wood carved with hand painted USMC in red white and blue paint. The sign measures about 13 1/2 inch high 29 long. This has tremendous about of work done by carving out the decor and than burning the black part of the wood so the a torch. Than it's hand chiseled the letters into the sign or plaque and painted. This is a vintage piece more and done many years ago from an old neighbor on the block who was in his 80s than. He worked on Naval ships on the Hudson River. I wish I learned more about him. I don't know if he made this or had it made or given to him. His family meme we sold all his stuff when he was moving to live with them. Anyway it's great for any Military collector like myself. But I have to much stuff. Email or text with any questions. All handmade and one piece. Very hard t find something like this for this price.
