The Defense Sector Leidos currently has an opening for a Test Engineer to work our Picinny Arsenal, NJ site. A Test Engineer is a creive and driven individual who is passione about advancing propulsion technology. The ideal candide will have a strong background in experimental research and a desire to work on challenging and innovive projects. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing sub-scale propulsion components to capture combustion physics-based properties. You will work closely with a team of engineers and researchers to develop and execute test plans, analyze da, and report findings.

Primary Responsibilities.

Design, build, and test sub-scale propulsion components to capture combustion physics-based properties.

Develop and execute test plans, including the selection of approprie instrumention and da acquisition systems.

Analyze test da to identify trends, draw conclusions, and make recommendions for future research.

Prepare and present technical reports and presentions to both internal and external audiences.

Collabore with a team of engineers and researchers to design and develop new test rigs and experimental techniques.

Maintain and calibre test equipment to ensure accure and reliable da collection.

Ensure a safe and efficient test environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.

Basic Qualificions.

A bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a closely reled field.

A solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and combustion principles.

Hands-on experience with experimental setup, instrumention, and da acquisition systems.

Proficiency in da analysis software such as MATLAB or Python.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen tention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communicion skills.

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

US Citizenship required.
