You are looking at my 2001 Jeep Wrangler - a very rare, true 60th Anniversary edition in original condition with 102k miles on it (as of writing this). There were only roughly 3000 of these made and half were black, the other half silver. How many of them are still left out there in the wild, probably not too many. This was considered the top of the line trim at the time it was made. I have owned this jeep for roughly 23 of the last 24 years, it has served me well and always been dependable but it's time to move on. It runs and drives, A/C works great, Heat works (but it needs time to warm up - it's not a modern vehicle with instant heat), all lights and blinkers work. Title is clean and on hand. Truck is being sold in AS-IS condition, cash and carry. No I will not ship the truck, no I will not take a check for more than I am asking and refund you the difference (I'd say no scammers, but what's the point). If you want to ship the truck somewhere that's your choice but it must be paid in full first and you make arrangements for shipping.
The good :
Limited edition Anniversary series with 60th anniversary badges and factory color matching fender flares and trim.
4.0L engine, 6 Cylinder with quad fire iridium plugs
Automatic Transmission
4wd High and Low - working as it should
Alarm system
Remote start - to warm the truck up on cold days
Side steps
Chrome grill - this is a slip on metal cover that you can remove if you want, but it looks good.
Chrome locking hood latches with key (I have the originals if you want to put them back on)
Chrome Side and rear door latches and gas cap port
Tuffy Side door locks with keys - to prevent theft of the removable doors
Factory Hard top
Factory Soft top with factory tinted removable windows - Note, the soft top has been in storage in my basement for 15+ years wrapped in plastic (same stuff they use to wrap luggage at airports) I have not unwrapped or opened it to inspect it because it is neatly packaged and easier to move, so I make no claims about the condition but it is included with the truck and still sealed. It could be in mint condition, it could be full of moth holes, I don't know.
Overhead sound bar and sub woofer in the console (also part of 60th package)
Mud Flaps
Roof Rack
Tow hooks front and rear
Fog lights - working
The rims are factory, they were just painted black to match the rest of the truck.
Roof light bar, with switches inside the truck and covers for the lights. Note, this will need to be rewired if you want it to work (it will work) but honestly I would switch it to an LED bar, the halogens while bright as hell would seriously draw a lot of power. I liked the old school look so I left them but don't use them.
Rear Waterproof seat cover - rear seat is removable
Hood wind deflector
Oil change and filter done less than 150 mi ago. The truck is running full synthetic
Rear brakes changed a few thousand miles ago.
Hide a trunk - locking trunk insert so if you use the soft top you can lock valuables in the trunk.
Last but most importantly - a Benzi Box removable face CD player with remote control - yes you read that right, if that's not worth the asking price alone then I don't know what is.
Now on to the bad :
Truck will need new tires sooner than later, they probably have another season or two left in them - see pics.
The rear strut that holds up the back window when you open the trunk needs to be replaced. I have been using a stick when I need to hold the window up. It's a simple fix but I wanted to mention it.
The siren on the alarm can be temperamental at times, I think the ground just needs to be cleaned for a good contact,
The paint on the truck is all original and while the pics I took somehow look deceptively good, I don't want to mislead anyone, the paint is a 5 footer, with some touch ups, webbing, chips, etc.. I'd give it a 5 or 6/10, it's all there but it's an almost 25 yr old paint job.
There is a hairline crack in the plastic top of the center armrest, it never bothered me so I didn't replace it or get a cover.
The main mechanical issue with the truck that will need attention is a shimmy in the steering wheel at speeds of around 60mph until around 65mph when it stops. I'm not sure of the cause, maybe it needs a new steering stabilizer or bushing, wheel balancing, I'm not a mechanic and I'm getting too fat and old to get under there to investigate. The truck is being sold As-is anyhow (remember this is a 25 year old jeep, don't expect perfection), but you are free to inspect whatever you'd like.
