This car has been owned, driven, and maintained by an adult auto enthusiast. It would make a great first car for a new driver looking for a great handling, manual transmission hatchback, or an efficient daily driver for anyone. Has lots of cargo space (especially with the seats folded down) and averages 30 mpg on regular 87 octane fuel. It's also ready for the snow with the included winter tire/wheel package (see below).
Details of the car:
- XR trim level
- 5 speed manual transmission
- 17" alloy wheels with Goodyear all-season tires with plenty of tread
- Exterior is in very good shape with zero rust and some minor wear as expected on a 17 year old car
- Interior is nearly flawless and like-new. Never smoked in, no stains, and all electronics work as designed.
- A/C blows cold, engine runs great, no grinding or other noises from the transmission.
- No check engine lights
- Just passed NJ inspection in September
Maintenance:
- I have a full spreadsheet of maintenance that has been performed under my ownership
- Some of the more recent items include new spark plugs, new ignition coil, new battery, new rear brake pads and rotors, new driver-side rear brake caliper, and new engine air filter.
- Regular oil and filter changes per the onboard maintenance computer

- Integrated replacement stereo with OEM steering wheel controls, Sirius XM radio, and hands-free Bluetooth phone support

Issues:
- The paint is showing some age and could benefit from a heavy polishing and waxing.
- The steering rack has developed a small amount of play which can be felt through the wheel while driving. The replacement part is only a few hundred dollars and I have the car priced accordingly.
- The exhaust flex-pipe was replaced but the clamp should be replaced by welding
