paint color: blue
title status: salvage
transmission: automatic
My son hit a deer with this car (minor damage), and although the vehicle still runs and looks great, the insurance company totaled it. I bought it back with a salvage title and began restoring it, but a major house project has taken priority.

Here’s the current status:

Engine and transmission have under 140K original miles.

Almost showroom inside, not including the rugs.

Mechanically solid – I would trust it on a cross-country drive once cosmetic issues are addressed.

Needs minor finishing touches: paint on the hood, a new front bumper, and the felt trim on the top is loose.

I got a quote of $900 from a reputable local body shop to paint the hood and install a new bumper. There was only one factory color that year, so the match should be nearly perfect. Bumper around $ 200.00

I’d honestly prefer to keep this car as a spare—it drives too well to junk—but my wife wants it gone from the driveway. If you already own a C280 with high miles, this car is worth much more in parts alone. I’ve even been told this is the only transmission from this series to reach over 1 million miles during testing.

Serious inquiries only.

No emails without a phone number will be answered.

Leave your number, and I’ll call you back.

If there’s no serious interest soon, I’ll likely keep the car and finish restoring it myself.

Thanks for your time.
