We have here my beloved 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport (XJ). It has 145k original miles, new electrical harness for the LED headlights, taillights and fog lights (All error free and functioning properly). I had a 3” inch (Rough Country) lift kit professionally installed with a Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) and drive shaft. I also changed the “Big Seven” cables to a higher gauge for additional accessories and more efficient electrical power and added an off-road antenna (because it looks very cool). I have a cold air intake installed along with a throttle body spacer. I also installed a Magnaflow cat back exhaust. There are a few stock parts that I also replaced, i.e. new alternator, radiator, battery, starter, oil filter housing adapter and O rings, gas cap….
The interior of the Jeep in excellent condition! The headliner is clean and not sagging. I added a new Sony touch screen radio with wireless Carplay. I have a custom bezel around the radio and the fit is seamless! I also added a subwoofer and have a custom box in the storage compartment in the rear housing it (the system sounds great). I have 15” wheels wrapped in 32” x 10” BFGoodrich K02 all-terrain tires that are about a year old, still plenty of meat on the tires.
The condition of the body is in overall good condition taking into consideration the age of the vehicle (2001). There is the infamous rust on some areas of the Jeep (doors and rear hatch). It does need to be repaired but it’s not as bad as some of the jeeps I’ve seen lately. It’s a very common issue. No check engine light except for when I refueled, it would pop the infamous P0456 code. Replacing the gas cap was the remedy! It drives excellent! No vibrations at all at higher speeds (reason for replacing the drive shaft and installing the SYE). I get compliments everywhere I go. It looks pretty bad ass as well! There are no major or minor mechanical issues that I know of and I drive this jeep often. Im selling it because I haven’t really used it for off-roading like I intended to when I installed all this gear and I just don’t have the time to truly enjoy like someone in the market for an XJ should. In fact, it was my daily for a few years in the current state. It turns out that the lift kit and off-road installs came in handy living in NYC with it. For the 5-7 years that I’ve owned this jeep it has been in our garage except for the couple of times I parked on the street, total regret because someone hit my lift gate and took off. The car has a clean title but has been involved in a minor rear end collision that effected the rear bumper and passenger quarter panel. All fixed by a geico approved shop. I have pictures of the damage and I will gladly show any interested buyer. The damage was cosmetic in nature and did not effect the powertrain or any major mechanical part(s). Again, I have pictures of the damage if requested and the jeep was in stock condition when the incident occured. The paint on the car is in great shape! The next owner will truly appreciate the condition and quality of this XJ. The jeep is being sold “AS IS” and there is no return/refund whatsoever. I will include all spare parts that I have.
