This E39 has remained with the current owner for about three years. This car is an excellent driver-quality example of the iconic E39 M5. The car does not have the usual rust spots. Riding on stock suspension, this car handles well and has the smoothness you expect from an E39. The S62 engine feels very good and revs happily through the power band. The car wears newer Michelin Pilot Sport tires and sports the stock 18” staggered rims. The car has always been driven responsibly and has not been abused.
Cosmetically, the car presents very honestly. There are signs of prior paint work on the bumpers and left side of the vehicle. There are various dings and dents, as you would expect with the age. The car has had prior moisture infiltration in the trunk due to aftermarket tail lamps. Currently, the navigation and radio do not boot up. The interior will need some work. The owner has decided to downsize and is reluctantly selling.
This M5 is the perfect running and driving base for an enthusiast looking for a great weekend build.
