It is part of the "Black Golden" series designed by the Austrian artist Walter Bosse in the 1950s.
Walter Bosse, an expert craftsman from the golden age of Vienna bronzes, designed his “black/gold” series of Brass/Bronze figurines
This cat is a small creature with big personality.
The figurine is made of Brass/Bronze with a blackened patina and polished golden highlights.
It was originally marketed as an egg cup but can also be used as a candle holder, pipe rest, or ring dish.
These items are highly collectible.
