The left hand is raised in the “Stopping Evil” or the “Stopping the Waters” pose.

Approximately 200-250 years old. A highly detailed carving of a Buddha wearing
intricate Royal vestments. The Buddha wears a faint smile with a serene a peaceful expression.
There are slight remains of a base coat of green lacquer on the main statue.
Statue is comprised of three interconnecting parts.
This statue was placed in front of the temple with two other similar statues.
The three statues were held together with large dowels connecting the statues together.

The statue would have been placed outside in front of the temple to
protect the temple the people and bless all.
This is an extremely rare piece. The statue has elements of Thai and Laotian Buddhism.
