Vintage ... amber-colored glass decanter bottle (empty) ... exact age & original contents unknown (unmarked) ... embossed with four "Eagle Claw" type talons ... though the bottle stands approx. (11") tall - the design somewhat resembles that found on vintage "bitters" bottles which were basically much smaller in size, but ... the overall design more closely resembles the "Creme de Menthe" liquor bottles - produced by the Rheinstrom Bros. (in the 1890's) ... the only difference being - those bottles had the words "Creme de Menthe" hand-written in thick paint upon the bottles ... one might reasonably assume that the paint has simply worn off this bottle over time!
*NOTE* ... last (3) photos are examples of some Rheinstrom Bros bottles with "Creme de Menthe" lettering!
This bottle/decanter has no cork or stopper ... it measures approx. (11") tall and (5") at widest point ... base measures approx. (3") ... bottom lip of thick base has a crack along the edge (not visible when standing upright) ... water seeps slowly from the crack.
