STAR Building Services is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of luxury residential and commercial properties throughout New Jersey.
This is a hands-on management position. You'll be responsible for supporting our front-line employees, visiting properties, meeting with clients, conducting inspections, solving problems, and making sure our buildings consistently exceed expectations.
Location: Central/North NJ (Travel throughout Northern and Central New Jersey)
Responsibilities include:
• Manage a portfolio of customer facing and concierge accounts.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
• Build strong relationships with property managers, board members, and clients.
• Recruit, train, and mentor employees.
• Respond to customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.
• Coordinate schedules, coverage, supplies, and operational needs.
• Work closely with senior management to maintain STAR's service standards.
We're looking for someone who:
• Has previous management or supervisory experience.
• Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Is organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Is comfortable working independently and making decisions.
• Has reliable transportation and is willing to travel between accounts.
• Speaks Spanish (preferred but not required).
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
• Property management
• Hospitality
• Janitorial or facilities management
• Hotel operations
• Residential concierge services
