... Robert Alfred Wolff (11/29/1920 - 4/15/2017) was the longest running sportscaster in radio & television history. He was the radio & TV voice of the Washington Senators (1947-1960) and was selected as a World Series broadcaster (1956) and that year - called Don Larsen's perfect game across the country on the Mutual Broadcast System and around the world on the Armed Forces radio. He was on NBC Radio for the World Series (1958, 1961) and on baseball’s “Game of the Week” for NBC and ABC (1962-1965) - later becoming the play-by-play voice of the NY Knicks, NY Rangers, boxing, track, tennis & college basketball for Madison Square Garden and the MSG Network. Wolff holds the rare distinction of having broadcast the championships in all four major U.S. sports – the World Series, the NBA & NFL championships, and the Stanley Cup finals. He was honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame with the Ford C. Frick Award (1995), for major contributions to baseball broadcasting. He was also inducted into Madison Square Garden's Walk of Fame and the National Sportscasters & Sportswriters Hall of Fame.

... Harold Newhouser (5/20/1921 - 11/10/1998), nicknamed "Prince Hal," was an American Major League Baseball pitcher. He pitched (17) seasons on the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians (1939-1955). He was an All-Star for (6) seasons and was considered to be the most dominating pitcher of the World War II era of baseball, winning a pitching triple crown for the Tigers (1945). To date, he is also the only pitcher in MLB history ever to win two consecutive MVP awards. In 1992, Newhouser was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

... Philip Francis Rizzuto (9/25/1917 - 8/13/2007), nicknamed "The Scooter", was an American Major League Baseball shortstop. He spent his entire 13-year baseball career with the New York Yankees (1941–1956). A popular figure on a team dynasty that captured (10) AL titles and (7) World Championships in his (13) seasons, Rizzuto holds numerous World Series records for shortstops. His best statistical season was when he was named the American League's Most Valuable Player (1950). Despite this offensive peak, Rizzuto was a classic "small ball" player, noted for his strong defense in the infield. The slick-fielding Rizzuto is also regarded as one of the best bunters in baseball history. When he retired, his (1,217) career double plays ranked second in major league history, trailing only Luke Appling's total of 1,424, and his (.968) career fielding average trailed only Lou Boudreau's mark of .973 among AL shortstops. In 1994, Rizzuto was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
