Robert Feller (November 3, 1918 – December 15, 2010), aka "The Heater from Van Meter", "Bullet Bob" & "Rapid Robert", was an American baseball pitcher who played (18) seasons for the Cleveland Indians. Feller pitched from (1936-1941) & (1945-1956), interrupted by a four-year engagement in the United States Navy. In a career spanning (570) games, Feller pitched (3,827) innings and posted a win/loss record of (266–162), with (279) complete games, (44) shutouts, and a (3.25) earned run average. Feller became the first pitcher to win (24) games in a season before the age of 21. In (1946), he recorded (348) strikeouts! During his career, Feller threw (3) no-hitters, (12) one-hitters, led the American League in wins (6x) times & strikeouts (7x), and he was an All-Star (8x). In (1962), Feller was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame!
... Harold Newhouser (5/20/1921 - 11/10/1998), aka "Prince Hal," was an American baseball pitcher. He pitched (17) seasons on the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians (1939-1955). He was an All-Star for (6) seasons and was considered to be the most dominating pitcher of the World War II era of baseball, winning a pitching triple crown for the Tigers (1945). To date, he is also the only pitcher in MLB history ever to win (2) consecutive MVP awards. In (1992), Newhouser was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame!

Philip Henry Niekro (April 1, 1939 – December 26, 2020), aka "Knucksie", was an American baseball pitcher who played (24) seasons in Major League Baseball, (20) of them with the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves. His (318) career victories are the most by a knuckleballer - (121) of them after age 40 - is a major league record. Niekro won the National League Gold Glove Award (5x), was selected to (5) All-Star teams, and led the league in victories (2x) and earned run average once. ... Peter Edward Rose Sr. (April 14, 1941 - September 30, 2024), aka "Charlie Hustle", was an American former professional baseball player & manager. Rose played in Major League Baseball (1963-1986), most prominently with the Cincinnati Reds. He also played for the Philadelphia Phillies & Montreal Expos. During & after his playing career, he served as manager of the Reds (1984-1989). Rose is the all-time leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053), singles (3,215), and outs (10,328). He won (3) World Series, (3) batting titles, (1) Most Valuable Player Award, (2) Gold Gloves, and the Rookie of the Year Award. He made (17) All-Star appearances at an unequaled (5) positions. In (1989), Rose was penalized with permanent ineligibility from baseball amidst accusations that he gambled on baseball games while he played for and managed the Reds. In (1991), the Baseball Hall of Fame formally voted to ban those on the "permanently ineligible" list from induction. After years of public denial, in (2004) Rose admitted that he bet on baseball and on the Reds. The issue of Rose's election to the Hall of Fame remains contentious throughout baseball.
