1) ... official (2001) - World Series Program ... NY Yankees vs. Arizona Diamondbacks... games played between (10/27/01 - 11/4/01) ... program is in new condition! ... (192) pages! ... all (7) original scorecards are intact - unscored ... loaded with photos & articles - including a 9/11 tribute! (see contents page scans) ... AZ won the series in 7 games (4-3)
2) ... original (Game #3) - limited edition pin (#31,192 of 60,000) ... endorsed by Major League Baseball and distributed @ Yankee Stadium, on (10-30-01) ... "to thank all of its official sponsors for their passionate commitment to our game"... pin is in new condition - never worn! ... it's still affixed to the original cardboard display (fair condition) - that has a (2001) World Series hologram on the back.
3) ... original (Game #4) - ticket stub ... game played @ Yankee Stadium (10-31-01) ... New York won the game, in 10 innings (4-3) ... stub measures approx. (3" x 5-1/2") ... it has a horizontal, center crease.
**Game #4: Highlights!**
*bottom of 8th inning ... AZ Diamondbacks closer (Byung-hyun Kim) - entered the game in an attempt to preserve a (3-1) lead ... he became the first Korean-born player to play in a Major League Baseball - World Series!
*bottom of 9th inning ... NY Yankees 1st baseman (Tino Martinez) - hit a two out, 2-run homerun (off of Kim) ... to tie the score (3-3).
*Game #4 went into extra innings ... which stretched into the morning hours of (November 1, 2001)
*top of 10th inning ... NY Yankees closer (Mariano Rivera) - entered the game & retired the Diamondbacks in order ... he later became the winning pitcher of record.
*bottom of 10 inning (November 1st) ... Derek Jeter hit a walk-off homerun ... giving the Yankees a victory (4-3) ... making Jeter the first player to hit a November homerun! ... which earned him the nickname - "Mr. November".
4) ... action photo print of ...
