Hi, thanks for checking out my listing for this rare and beautiful, antique fireplace fender. It is made of brass, approx 4 feet wide, 1 foot deep, and 9.5 inches tall at center. It is in great condition for an item that gets the kind of heavy duty use that active fireplaces require, and has a minor dent and is missing 2 divets but look fine with the symmetry. The pix show it well. This item is not only decorative but makes your home safe. Burning logs sometimes roll and and hot ashes can find their way to your floor or carpet. That is why a screen and/or fender is so important. There are lots of fireplace tools and items like a log holder, shovel, tong, and poker. You might like to add this to your collection.
