The machine pops popcorn perfectly. However, the outer casing can get very hot. I am not an expert in this field in any way, shape, or form, but as I understand it, it could be an overheating motor. It could be a simple fix if debris is blocking the fan, or a simple loose part, or the motor could need replacing altogether!! Again, this is not my field of expertise, so I don’t know, that is just what I read online. Aside from getting hot, it works great!! I don’t want there to be any safety issues, so I am mentioning this all here!!
