I am trying to start a clown theater group/ company and I would like to start with a couple women. My preference is under 30 years old, average size (though tall might be good too), maybe 1 Latina and 1 Asian. However, nothing is set in stone-I am flexible regarding type. The main thing is if we have any kind of working chemistry. If the personalities fit, that trumps everything. Anyway, you probably want to know more about it, sooooo.. .I want to create some original theatrical pieces that can be performed in theaters, schools, libraries, festivals, etc. We can maybe do childrens theater type of stuff, but I would prefer something that can be played to ANY audience. And no, we won't be wearing the big buttonned, colorful, circus or birthday party clown look. This is a collaborative project; I won't be dictating everything. We will work out all the details together, though if I have more experience in this area, maybe I'll be pointing out our direction. If you have any special talent like singing, dancing, juggling or anything else thta's all the better. We will be exploring improv, mask work, mime, physical comedy, physical theater, etc. This is all about having fun and learning and putting on great shows.
