We currently have an opening for an Electrical Engineer. The job affords you exposure to a myriad of industries and applications in the engineering world, all ranging from complex aerospace projects to medical device products. The successful candidate will:
1. Design, build, and test circuitry that captures, clarifies, and interprets signals generated from our surface pressure mapping sensors.
2. Have considerable responsibility for developing, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting our sensors matrix arrays.
3. Calibrate various sensors, including matrix and single point pressure sensors.
4. Analyze calibration data.
5. Develop software for data analysis and product demonstration.
6. Test software produced by vendors.
7. Evaluate demonstration and customer test results.
8. Recommend alternative actions to sales, engineers, and customers based on collected data.
Your Qualifications
1. BS in electrical or materials engineering.
2. Knowledge of capacitive and resistive sensor fundamentals, as well as knowledge of strain gauges.
3. Experience or knowledge of image analysis and RF technology.
4. Strong experience with digital oscilloscopes, signal generators, breadboard design and buildup, and circuit design software.
5. Proficiency in C++ and/or Visual Basic.
6. Knowledge of Metlab and Labview desirable.
7. Familiarity with Spice, CPLD (or FPGA,) and microcontroller programming.
8. Meticulous record keeping.
9. Local to the Northern NJ area. Able to work legally in the USA.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

The role will be based at Client's Teaneck, New Jersey office. The successful candidate will lead the field commissioning and service of products and services through their ability to:
Prepare a lighting control system database using AutoCAD and proprietary software.

Job Description:

Minimum Qualifications:
15 to 20 years experience with emphasis in roadway and bridge construction / rehabilitation, in the NY, NJ metropolitan area. Minimum of 10 years as Project (Resident) Engineer with a N.Y.P.E. and or N.J.P.E. license. Able to perform independent work including delegated responsibilities and duties for which engineering precedent exits. Ability to supervise and work with subordinates and Owners. A BSCE is required; equivalent ASCE Grade IV or higher. Training in SSPC or NACE desired but not required.
