Our cient, the proven leader in ozone and ultraviolet generation equipment, has an immediate opportunity for the position of Project Engineer at their headquarters in Elmwood Park, NJ.
Efficient execution of midsize and large ozone projects and to support senior staff on projects. Responsible of engineering midsize and large ozone projects as required from beginning to the end.
• Design of equipment in relation to specifications.
• Handling and preparation of equipment datasheets, quotations and purchase orders.
• Process oriented selection of equipment, instruments and valves.
• Preparation of P&ID within engineering (process and electrical department) and in collaboration with the drafting department.
• Preparation of project documentation in collaboration with drafting and project administrator.
• Project submittals for approval and review.
• Project scheduling.
• Customer and supplier contacts.
• Attend project meetings and prepare minutes of meeting.
• Preparation of performance test documents with the assigned service engineer.
• Preparation of manuals.
• Training of operator and maintenance personnel.
• Support of service personnel.
• Development of standard documents and programs in collaboration with other engineers.
• Standard text for O&M manual in collaboration with other engineers.
• Development of submittal and O&M manual standards.
Qualifications:
• BS degree in Engineering discipline with 5 + years experience related work experience.
• Knowledge in system applications and process.
• Knowledge in heat loss and mass flow calculations.
• Knowledge in sizing of equipment, pumps, injectors, valves and instruments.
• Ability to communicate with both, customers, clients and vendors.
• Ability of working in a small team independently and efficiently.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and some travel is involved.
