We are seeking an energetic and organized individual who loves children to run our company-owned model center. The Center Director operates as a math and reading center which supports the operations of Kumon North America as:
-a training center for new staff and franchisees
-a test center for new products and instructional strategies
-our after school Math and Reading program to children from the ages of 4 to 17.
The Center Director is responsible for the overall running of the center (student instruction, lesson planning, parent communication, tuition collection, the training of our employees by providing a model center in which they can work/learn, etc.)
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree. Education related major preferred.
-Full-time Teaching and/or Corporate Training experience a must
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with adults and children
-Strong computer skills
-Strong MATH and Reading aptitude
-Excellent written and public speaking skills
-Commitment to making a difference in the community and belief in the importance of education
-Ability to work afternoons/early evenings and Saturdays (2-3 times/week)
-Urban teaching experience strongly desired
