A small library in West Essex has one part-time vacancy for a library assistant. Applicants must be willing to work a mix of both weekday morning and evening hours and an occasional Saturday. Duties include: circulation desk, data entry, shelving, and shelf-reading. The ideal applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in the Humanities or Social Sciences, an understanding of the Library of Congress Classification System, database searching skills, excellent customer service skills, and an ability to work independently.
