Objective: Introducing Pinyin System. Speak(basic), and ultimately read and write in Chinese. Course is offered to children at any age.
Back Ground: I was born in China, finished high school in Europe, then came to U.S. for college at Stevens. I hold a Bachelor and two Masters cover different engineering disciplines. Currently pursuing System Engineering PhD focusing on financial institution reform.
Teaching Style: Begin with Pinyin system- standard Chinese elementary school first year requirement.You will learn the four(4) basic Chinese pronunciation(memorizing Chinese character is not the focus at this stage). Once you have mastered Pinyin system, you will be able to "read" Chinese by recognizing its associated Pinyin (in alphabet), thus be able to hold a basic conversation. Short stories, Chinese history/culture will be associated with the course to introduce new characters if one's willing to go to the next level-Read and Write.
Availability: Mon. after 5pm, Thursday after 5pm, Friday-Sunday upon request.
Flexible and willing to work on a schedule that is the most convenient for you. Time period not mention above can be considered for long term customer.
Compensation: Children any age - 20$/h. Adult - $30/h
