This unique device is designed to hold a boat off the dock to protect both boat and dock from damage. It works as an "arm" that attaches to a ball mounted on the dock and a ball mounted on the boat. Together with a pair of spring lines, this holds the boat securely in place. I bought this new and it is unused. I found that it is not suitable for my pontoon boat because I have no way to mount the ball onto the pontoon boat because the rails are in the way so I had to buy expensive mooring whips.
